What are the advantages of silicon piezoresistive pressure sensitive chips?

1. High sensitivity: It is sensitive to changes in pressure and can detect tiny pressure changes. Its sensitivity coefficient is 50 to 100 times higher than that of metal strain gauges, which can meet application scenarios with high requirements for pressure measurement accuracy.


2.Fast response speed: Due to the characteristics of silicon materials and the microstructural design of the chip, it can respond to pressure changes quickly and can monitor the dynamic changes of pressure in real time. It is suitable for occasions that require rapid feedback of pressure information, such as the intake pressure monitoring of automobile engines.


3.High precision: Through reasonable design and manufacturing process control, the chip has high measurement precision. The measurement accuracy can reach ±0.2% - ±0.02%. High-accuracy products can be used for pressure detection of atmospheric data of large aircraft or as standard pressure gauges.


4. Small in size and light in weight: Manufactured based on micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) technology, the chip can be made very small in size, which is convenient for integration into various miniaturized devices. It is light in weight and will not impose excessive burden on the system. It is suitable for application scenarios with limitations on space and weight, such as smartphones and wearable devices.

6.Good linearity: Usually composed of four force-sensitive resistors to form a full-bridge Wheatstone bridge circuit. Although all four resistors are subjected to transverse pressure, the nonlinear characteristics can cancel each other out when forming a full bridge. Therefore, there is a good linear relationship between input and output.


7.Reliable in operation: Within a certain temperature and pressure range, the output signal of the chip has good stability and can ensure long-term reliable pressure measurement.


8.Wide application range: The measurable pressure range is relatively wide, ranging from micro-pressure as low as 10Pa (used for blood pressure measurement) to high pressure as high as 60MPa, suitable for measurement needs of various different pressure ranges.
